Trezor® Start Guide

Introduction

Welcome to the Trezor® Start Guide. In this guide, we will walk you through every step to safely set up your Trezor hardware wallet, secure your recovery seed, and start managing your cryptocurrencies.

Requirements

• Trezor hardware wallet (Model T or One)
• USB cable to connect your Trezor to a computer or mobile device
• Access to a computer with internet browser
• Paper and pen for recovery seed backup

Step 1: Setup Your Trezor

Connect your Trezor device to your computer using the provided USB cable. Open your browser and visit trezor.io/start.

Initializing Your Device

Follow the on-screen instructions. You will either create a new wallet or recover an existing wallet. It is recommended to create a new wallet if this is your first Trezor.

Secure Your Recovery Seed

Your recovery seed is a list of 12–24 words. Write them down on the provided recovery card and store them in a safe place. Never share your seed online.

Step 2: Login & Access Wallet

Once your Trezor is set up, you can log in to your wallet by connecting your device and entering your PIN. You will then be able to send, receive, and manage your crypto assets securely.

1. Always keep your recovery seed offline.
2. Do not share your PIN or seed with anyone.
3. Regularly update your Trezor firmware.
4. Verify transaction details before confirming.
